I love Frindle. Gooney Bird Greene is great too.
Love Frindle. My class decided to come up with names for all types of school supplies after reading it one year. I just discovered your blog and linked up!

I am reading Help! I'm Trapped in the First Day of School by Todd Strasser. It has some really great opportunities to discuss word choice, making predictions, as well as discussing the usuals, theme, plot, setting, characters, etc.
Great idea Ashley. I LOVE to read aloud and I am going to keep singing the praises of this practice for many years to come. Thanks for inspiring me to write yet another blog posting!
